New 3rd Edition of Clinical Management of COPD by Drs. William MacNee, Richard ZuWallack, and Joseph Keenan Published

Professional Communications, Inc, is pleased to announced the publication of the new, 3rd edition of Clinical Management of COPD by Drs. William MacNee, Richard ZuWallack, and Joseph Keenan. The book has been fully updated since the publication of the last edition in 2007.
The updates to the 3rd edition include the results of the INSPIRE trial on prevention of COPD exacerbations with salmeterol/budesonide, the UPLIFT trial – a 4 year trial of the long-term effects of tiotropium on COPD , and the SUN and SHINE trials of the efficacy of budesonide and formoterol in one inhaler in the treatment of COPD. The new edition also contains the latest GOLD guidelines and updated FDA approvals on all COPD medications.
William MacNee, MD a Professor of Respiratory and Environmental Medicine at the University of Edinburgh and is a past President of the European Respiratory Society. Richard ZuWallack, MD is Professor of Medicine at the University of Connecticut. Joseph Keenan, MD is a Professor Emeritus of Family Practice at the University of Minnesota.
