New Third Edition of Clinical Heart Failure Management Announced!

PCI is pleased to announce the publication of the new third edition of Clinical Heart Failure Management by Drs. Javed Butler, Roger M. Mills, and James B. Young.
Clinical Heart Failure Management is designed to provide clinically useful information and guiding principles to assist physicians in the treatment of the typical heart failure patient who presented most often with complex comorbidities. The authors have based their discussion of heart failure management on pathophysiologic principles, whenever possible. Evidence-based guidelines, including the 2016 ACC/AHA/HFSA Focused Update on New Pharmacologic Therapy for Heart Failure and the 2016 ESC heart failure diagnosis and treatment guidelines, are reviewed in detail. In addition, clinical guidance and prioritization of treatment options is also provided on managing patient who don’t fall neatly into guideline directed therapy.
Javed Butler, MD, MPH is Professor of Medicine, Director, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Co-Director, Heart Institute at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. Roger M. Mills, MD, FACP, FACC is a Cardiologist based in Dexter, Michigan. James B. Young, MD is Professor of Medicine and Executive Dean, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western University.
